community guidelines.

be a person. the rules for how we treat each other on the grid, what happens to photos and private albums, and what gets you removed.

be a person

lead with a hi, not a line. everyone here goes to your school and could be sitting next to you in class on monday — that's the whole point, and it's a good reason to be normal.

if someone doesn't answer, that's the answer. you get one message to start; after that it's their move. not hearing back isn't a door to knock on again.

the rules

  • be yourself — one account, your real photos, the name people at school know you by
  • no harassment, threats, stalking, or contacting someone after they've stopped answering
  • no hate — nothing targeting someone's race, religion, disability, orientation, or gender identity
  • no unsolicited sexual content. ask first, every time, and take no for an answer the first time
  • no posting anyone else's private information, and no screenshots of someone's profile, photos, or messages shared outside ohhi
  • no selling — not products, not services, not your other accounts, not tickets
  • nobody under 18, ever. if you think an account belongs to a minor, report it and we'll act within the hour

photos

your public photos should be you, face visible, and safe for a lecture hall. no nudity on your profile or in the grid. no photos of other people who haven't agreed to be there, and no photos of minors.

albums and "more about me"

these are private, and shared one person at a time after you've both actually talked. sharing one with someone is not an invitation for them to pass it on. screenshotting or re-sharing anything from someone's album or private card is a removable offence, and we tell the person it happened.

whatever you put in an album still has to be legal, still has to be you, and still can't involve anyone who hasn't agreed to it.

what happens when you break these

most things start with a warning, then a seven-day suspension, then a permanent ban. some things skip straight to a ban: threats, sexual content involving a minor, non-consensual images, and anything that puts someone in real danger. those also go to law enforcement where appropriate.

because every account is tied to a verified id, a ban isn't a speed bump — the same person can't make a new one.

reporting someone

tap the menu on their profile or in the chat, pick a reason, send. blocking is separate, instant, and silent — they aren't told, and you disappear from each other's grid. a report goes to a real person, not a queue, and you can always email safety@sayohhi.com instead.

reporting someone in good faith never gets you in trouble, even if we end up deciding no rule was broken.

this is the plain-language version written while we're pre-launch; a lawyer reviews it before the app opens, and we'll post the final version here.
